George W. Teng

George W. Teng was born in 1995 in Manassas, Virginia, and
grew up in New England's town of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
He attended the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, where he was valedictorian.
He went on to attend McGill University, where he completed his Bachelor of Music in piano performance, with dual minors in English literature and psychology.
George completed his Master of Music at the Université de Montréal.
He is currently completing his doctorate at the Université de Montréal under the mentorship of Paul Stewart and Henry Kramer. During theses training periods,
his literature and academic writing has been published both online and in-print.
George's other principal teachers include Kyoko Hashimoto, chair of piano at McGill University, Angel Ramón Rivera of the New England Conservatory,
Paul Orgel of the University of Vermont, and Yoshie Akimoto, a Steinway Artist concert pianist-instructor. He has also studied with Elinor Freer of the Eastman School of Music, and Douglas Humpherys,
Eastman's chair of piano.
To multidimensionally enhance his overall piano performance and teaching capacity,
George has built a strong portfolio of mastery in a diverse range of complimentary fields,
namely English literature, English editing and proofreading, and numerous computer disciplines, incorporating
audio/video recording and editing, web design, and programming.
George W. Teng est né en 1995 à Manassas, en Virginie, et a grandi dans la ville de Wellesley, au Massachusetts, en Nouvelle-Angleterre.
